Instructions for living a life. Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it. – Mary Oliver
Recently I purchased the Five Minute Journal. I had been attempting to write and paint every day. Some days I would get to write, some days to paint and some none at all (hence the lack of blog posts lol). But this little Five Minute Journal is changing all of that.
I had been contemplating it for a while not knowing what the “fuss” was about. I had heard about it through multiple channels and knew that there was something to it but couldn’t pull the trigger on the $30 notebook.
One day I just decided to up and go for it. I ordered on Amazon (it delivered the next day!) and honestly I wish I had done it sooner. I’m obsessed. It gives me a chance to for me to sit for 5 minutes per day (3 in the morning and 2 in the evening) and reflect on the day. Right when you wake up and just before you go to bed. This Journal is SO helpful for me as a mama and not having as much time as I would like to do things for myself. In the morning I’m prompted to write down what I am waking up grateful for and in the evening what made today amazing, and what I could have done to make it even better. It also allows me a mini morning and evening ritual to start and end the day.
There are 6 months worth of pages in one book. So far I am on Day 5!!
P.S. This was not intended as a Five Minute Journal commercial.
